During Art Basel 2024, the Weinberg Gallery is organizing a pop-up exhibition in
Lysbüchel. Basel’s new urban development area.

This unique showing portrays a slice of the
extraordinary period of time of turbulent tidal waves
between the reigns of Mao Zedong and Xi Jinping.
It was a period during which the reformers of the
Chinese Communist Party managed to maneuver the
country into calmer waters, but it was all too short-lived.
